Golf Courses At Orlando :
Orange
County National - Panther Lake
You do not have to be a great player to enjoy Orange County National,
you just have to Love Golf! A Lot of golf!
In fact Orange County National has 45 fabulous holes, on 922 beautiful
acres of unspoiled rolling terrain. Pure Golf, the way it was meant to
be played, in peace and tranquility with nothing to distract your game
except the rugged natural beauty of your surroundings. You will feel a
million miles from anywhere; yet will be just a few miles from Disney,
the convention center and all the entertainment Orlando has to offer.
Pure enough to be named by Golf Magazine as "One of the Top Ten
Places You Can Play!" Pure enough to host the 2003 PGA Tour's Q-school
finals. So come out and test your skills on the courses that test the
world's best players. But do not worry, whether you want it "tour"
tough or "member-guest" easy you can choose as much or as little
course as you like. Four sets of tees ranging from 7295 yards to 5094
yards allows you to choose the length that best suits your game.
Orange County National's Panther Lake Course was the first course ever
designed to feature 18 signature holes and showcase the native beauty
of the Florida landscape. It accomplishes this feat in spectacular fashion.
The sheer variety of the holes will astound you and make you think you
are playing golf on holes that are continents, not yards apart.
The course incorporates rolling hills with up to 60-foot elevation changes
as it winds through natural oak hammocks, pine forests, scenic wetlands
and glistening freshwater lakes. A heroic 7,295-yard from the tips Panther
Lake also offers the more manageable options of 6816, 6298 and 5094 yards
allowing players of all levels to enjoy as much or as little course as
they wish. While the phrase you will use every club in your bag is often
over used, at Panther Lake you can be sure that you will need all 14 clubs!
While the front nine will test your skill as the course weaves through
natural Florida wetlands putting a premium on accuracy, the back offers
a different challenge. There you will find very un-Florida like changes
of elevation, and pine tree lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas.
Panther Lake has been awarded 4 ½ Stars by Golf Digest's "PLACES
TO PLAY."
